Valerie Tan — HEAD-TO-HEAD: Carmex vs. ChapStick
In your experience, what is the best bald of Chapstick/lip? In your experience, what is the best bald of Chapstick/lip? My lips keep falling in general, as well as in the corners. Does anyone know of some really affective lip balm or Chapstick? I need aquaphor or carmex recommendations. and more than anything, remembering to use any lipstick that you use regularly. There's a certain breaking point where my lips become so dry and damaged that there's no baldness in the world that I can turn them back, followed by five days of pain, pain and asphyxiation while I try to repair them and let them heal. Be careful with the carmex, some of your formulations have ingredients that dry your lips over time. Definitely try Carmex, 6 months of Accutane and my lips never broke with it :)I love the girl, I have tried almost all of them, currently using milk and honey that is a personal favorite, and the SPF 30 when I'm out. I avoid anything with mint/menthole ingredients because it always breaks my inner corners and divides my lip into the center. Burt's bees is the worst culprit because I found myself constantly applying to fight the dryness that gave me! At night, I lay down vaseline on my lipstick and in the morning any crack has gone or is very calm and on the way to healing. Basically I'm saying that Nivea's lipstick is my haha of holy gray but I jump the lipstick because I find them much softer. Thank you, that's very useful! As I like mint lip products, I also have that same problem - never together both. Good to know! I'll be sure to try Nivea, I've never used it before Came says this. Nivea makes the best Chapstick! I like Smith's Rosebud sauce. It's very vaseline but I love the texture and smell. And a $6 pipe lasts forever. You remind me to pick up another tube. I love that thing! Aquaphor - the softest, the best for me. Burt bees irritate my lips (mint oil), and Cerave decomposes me (fat alcohols). I have discovered that, although the blue blistex medicated in the bathtub or the carmex temporarily help, the irritating ingredients finally make my lips dry and chop and become red. I'm using a different one by blistex, the humidity melts - it comes in a pressure tube and has blue melting beads. It's been working pretty well. If my lips are really dry, I just slap them. In addition, I assure myself of covering my lips with a thick layer of vaseline before brushing as too dry/irritant toothpaste. Mine's a little irritated, too, so thank you for the tip! I never thought of putting Vaseline before brushing my teeth. You're over the whole mango? Editing: writing Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm. Lanolin. Vaseline's the only thing that makes me go through dry winters. I put it before bed, and again in the morning. Throughout the day I wear several lipsticks. I've tried many other products with shea butter, cocoa butter, oils, etc, but Vaseline does the best job for me. Burt, Carmex, and Blistex bees - anything with mint or other "cooling" ingredients - are doing more harm than good. Even Chapstick is not helping much. Lee, and try. I love Ego products, all natural, Ltd jojoba, but no spf... The only chapstick that really "gets out" in my opinion is the lotion. I use CeraVe PM and it works wonders. My routine is I got wax Go to the night, let it get soaked. My lips are super awesome and soft in the morning. I put another wax coat. See PM onwards, seal it with aquaphor and Vaseline and put in a lip balm with a high spf (banana ship spf 50+) over it. I found that he wasn't so effective and just a little slipping! Burts bees, Carmex, Blistex, Chapstick and Vaseline (unless they fit on something else like Aquaphor) do nothing for me. During the day I use this and at night I hide the bejeezus out of my lips with Aquaphor. Shea! So creamy and stays for a while. Vaseline with Blistex cocoa butter, Burt bees, EOS The best of the lips is Beer in the bathtub, in my opinion:) but as chapstick, id says Blistex (the blue tube). I warn the CeraVe at the bathtub suggestion! It feels so good and I haven't had dry or cut lips since use. Burt bees... I like the waxy texture and the mint smell. It always seems to me to gravitate to her despite trying other brands. MembersOnline

Why are you trained in Carmex and other lips balm somewhere between the cerebrities and the Illuminati are the greatest conspiracy of beauty of all time: Carmex. It is won on the board "Conspirations and Secret Societies" at Unexplained-Mysteries.com, and comedian that the Betty Ford Clinic contained a secret wing for addicts who simply "wanted a small dip." According to the rumor, Carmex is made of formaldehyde or cut glass, designed to make you want to use it more, and — the worst of all — not really moisturizing. The Choir spoke with several dermatologists to discredit these notions and evaluate Carmex's evil on a scale from one to "Not today, Satan." Below are five truths about Carmex, including what it does and others balm of lips so addictive.1. It's not made of cut glass. I think I was in high school when a friend told me this urban legend, and I know I'm not alone because it has more than 200,000 Google results. No surprise, the carmex does not include the cut glass or anything called broken glasses. When asked, dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss by Patricia Wexler Dermatology laughed and said, "This is highly doubtful. It would be outside the shelf. "2. Nor does it contain formaldehyde. Things used to preserve dead bodies do not appear on the list of ingredients.3. It makes you feel spicy. If you apply Carmex and feel spicy everywhere, you're not imagining things. It contains mentol and field horse, which produce that tingling sensation on your lips, as when you see a . In fact, many people are allergic to both ingredients, which can make your lips bite slightly and feel extrasensitive. But the dermatologist, Dr. Whitney Bowe says: "Only some people are sensitive to these effects of mentol and camping, so many people can use the lip balm without any problem. "4. It is not designed to dry your lips faster. Thanks to a user named Kingston's mommy (Gwen Stefani, are you?), there is one that states that "lip levers with oil bases or mineral oil dry their lips faster." This is wrong. As we've covered before, and seals in humidity. Dermatologist Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi says, "[Petroleum] not 'pull' water anywhere," and Dr. Bowe says oil and mineral oil are actually two of the best soothing moisturizing ingredients in Carmex. While, use is good and not dangerous.5. You're addicted to it because you can be allergic to it. In addition to the bonfire and mentol, Carmex also includes several other ingredients that can cause sensitivity. The irritation creates an endless cycle of addiction to Carmex. Dr. Bowe says, "Carmex has many irritating ingredients that can cause inflammation in the lip area in people with sensitive lips. These ingredients can make people feel like they need to reapply a lipstick more often, so it feels like an addiction." Here are several of these ingredients, which are also found in other balms of lips and can be attributed to their addiction:5. You are addicted to it because it can be allergic to it.• Beeswax: This is often contaminated with propolis, a sticky substance secretly covered by bees that is a building block and the repair substance for its hives. It's a growing allergy. Dr. Idriss quotes a 2010 study that evaluated children with eczema and found that most of them had negative reactions to the propole, so the second most common allergy, after nickel.• Beeswax: • Lanolin: An alcohol derived from wool. If you find extra-coin wool sweaters, your lips are probably more irritated by Carmex than most. Lanolin also reacts with another ingredient in Carmex called liquor cetil. If you commonly receive allergic skin care reactions, you are more likely allergic to this too. • Lanolina• Salicylic acid: often found in acne medications. Dr. Idriss speculates that he is in Carmex to slightly exfoliate the skin. "But it can also be irritating. It's not the most relaxing ingredient." Dr. Bowe adds that you can also dry your lips over time. • Salicylic acid• Benzocaine: a topical anesthesia that Carmex says "relieve pain and itching." But some people are also allergic to this. "These people will definitely experience greater redness and lure after a few uses," says Dr. Bowe.• Benzocaine: In general, dermatologists agree that Carmex and other lip balms containing these ingredients are not killing you. Dr's verdict. Tanzi: "It's safe to use, but not my favorite." It's not all bad and it helps a million people. But people might want to try something more pure, like," says Dr. Idriss.
